Prefight:
"I assume it shows you just the levels of depravity this world is capable of, if there is good in it then it is outweighed by the evil in that...realm."
Siege said and shuddered.
"And yes I am convinced we are right, if I where not I would not be doing this."
Colin shrugged, "And yet you had to be removed from this realm by walking into an anatomical obscenity to see it. You'll have to forgive me for not quite trusting it on account of the method of persuasion."

"The Security Council on Horizon will never allow that, they will be thrown in separate cells and if any of them protest they will be given a sound beating."
The Nephandus said matter of factly and shrugged.
He nodded sadly, "Yes, unfortunately, that's more likely. All the same, I hope she gets that creature comfort for as long as possible."

"We make very sure our agents do not know about one another so no it will not be as easy as that."
Siege said firmly.
He nodded, "Well, we'll just have to go back and forth and take out one Labyrinth at a time, and scour their records, I guess. I suppose you could call it a labour of love, if nothing else..."

"Yeah no...I guess it was not, as for Gabriel you did manage to kill him did you not? How did you manage that?"
He grimaced, "He was happily blasting away, and forgot to cover his back. I had a double-barreled shotgun. I'm not sure he even had the time to understand what happened, really."

Post-fight:
Francesca looked up, she took a deep breath and put her bone rattle away, she gave Siege's misery a bit of a guilty look she still could not help but smile a little at Siege and she hummed.
"Dum dum dum...dum...dumdumdum..."
The she shook her head.
"But yeah I would not like to have it sounded in my head now, my mind is quite private, and though it might not be as disturbing as whatever Mr Wainwright scared our prisoner with, I have to warn you I have watched allot of hentai so if you do not desire to dream about tentacle porn for the next week I advice you to stay out."
Ty glanced at you and gave you a friendly smile.
"Relax kid, no one is actually angry but make sure you do not try to mess with anyone's minds we tend to be sensitive about it."
"I don't even think I have to read your minds to project things into them. If anything I'm doing the opposite by bringing part of my mind into yours." Serge said with a shrug.

"But don't worry I'll stay out. My dreams are already weird enough as is without influence from other peoples mind's." Serge said with a friendly smile.
"I get that but don't do it anyway, look at mind fuckery as other kind of fuckery, don't do it without the other person's explicit permission unless there is some sort of emergency...ehm and at that the comparison sort of fell apart but yeah you get what I mean..."
Francesca said as she glanced over at you.
Colin smiled thinly at Serge, looking a little less stern now, "Don't worry, I'm not angry or upset at the notion - some levity is necessary. However, consider this - when you make a connection to another Mage, whatever the sort of connection it is, that other Mage may well notice and be able to piggyback on that connection. Such spells often work like doors, and doors can be passed through both ways. So just be careful."

Siege looked at you with despair in his eyes.
"Please it is my Avatar...please..."
He sobbed.
"Give it back to me."
He shook his head, "Sorry, but no. It would be tactically unsound, as well as bloody illegal."

"Agreed Mr Wainwright..."
Ty said as he tried to urge Lenoe and Karl into the room they have been kept in.
"Please come with me...we will get you something to eat later."
He said and Karl nodded.
"I...will go..."
He said but he stood still as a statue staring at the blood on the floor. Mr Leone nodded and slowly stood he was still shaking.
"But we where attacked and burned in there it is not safe..."
He muttered but then he glanced at the bleeding runes on Kristina's arms.
"It might not be to safe in here either though...
"He muttered softly.
He nodded, "It's safe again in there now - the fire is gone, and the man who made the fire can't get loose again. We'll see about getting more protection for you, though."

Adjan looked at you for a moment then he nodded.
"Very well, it do not matter much how he lost control over his wards anyway, he is down now."
"Ah..." he nodded.
He nodded to Adley, "Ah, indeed."

Adjan nodded and sigh.
"I hope you are right and that the Chief is just checking the Wards, but yes I do think our friend here was a distraction and that do worry me...for now we need to finish up here though before we can help the Chief."
He said and Fran nodded at that. The two vampires gave you nervous glanced and Ty nodded to you as you came closer.
"I...don't know him...Mr Roth Hicks..."
Lenoe muttered and glanced skeptically at Ty clearly not sure that the larger man would not harm him and so far he was still standing in a defensive position and not moving.
"I...I..."
He muttered nervously.
He gently reached out and laid a warm, friendly hand on Lenoe's back, lightly pushing him toward the doorway, "Come now, Sir, you know me, right? The British fellow who came along to pick you and your protegé up earlier? Your protegé should be still safe upstairs, and in the best hands fathomable - we wouldn't want to cause him distress, would we?"

"Yeah it is like if she is some action hero...do you think she is military or something, but yeah she is cool."
Andrew said and he glanced at Nicole with wonder in his eyes.
"Yeah I was thinking she was in the military too. Probably some super special ops bad-ass who awoke on a mission and now uses her magick to protect her allies or something like that. They should make a tv show about her." Serge said with a smile.
"Yeah that may be it, but we should not talk about her behind her back it is rude you know."
Andrew said and blushed.
"Mr Wainwright over there was in the military as well you know, he was a pilot I think."
He said and nodded towards Colin.
He grinned at Andrew and Serge, and saluted crisply, "RAF, actually. And yes, it is a bit rude to speculate so literally just behind someone's back."

Once the Fallen was finished emptying his guts, on with the sleeve-gag; double knotting it at the rear, making it tight enough not to slip off, but not too tight. A tiny sigh of relief as the gun was removed, a slightly slightly raised eyebrow to the duct-tape in a purse, but took it with a nod. The sounds of ripping tape; the large woman pulling up a trouser-leg [showing another tattoo; some Chinese characters] and fishing out a small blade from her boot to slice the tape. Once both legs and arms were done [gently with the latter], she finally got up with a grunt and handed back the tape.

'Thanks.' stretching out, the uncovered arm rippling slightly. 'Breakfast? Sounds like a plan.' she said with a little smile, turning to look at Andrew expectantly. Perhaps unaware that one of her free hand had gone behind and was apparently re-adjusting her underwear. 'Once we sort out these two, s'pose.' looking to the two vampires.

Before the fight:

Colin shrugged, "And yet you had to be removed from this realm by walking into an anatomical obscenity to see it. You'll have to forgive me for not quite trusting it on account of the method of persuasion."

Siege snorted at that.
"Sometimes you have to take a step back to see the whole of a thing, I have seen the true nature of this world and I have found it lacking."
The Nephandus declared.
"But this debate is pointless you will never turn me to your point of view and I doubt you wish you join the Nephandi, so let us drop it for now."
He said and glared at you.

He nodded sadly, "Yes, unfortunately, that's more likely. All the same, I hope she gets that creature comfort for as long as possible."

"And I hope chocolate cookies will rain down from the sky tomorrow but unless you know someone who are not to concerned about Paradox it is not likely to happen, the Security Council on Horizon can be most brutal."
Siege said and shook his head.

He nodded, "Well, we'll just have to go back and forth and take out one Labyrinth at a time, and scour their records, I guess. I suppose you could call it a labour of love, if nothing else..."

"Yeah ehm...no you will not get lucky twice Traditionalist."
The Nephandus said dismissively.

He grimaced, "He was happily blasting away, and forgot to cover his back. I had a double-barreled shotgun. I'm not sure he even had the time to understand what happened, really."

"Sounds like a messy and far from dignified way for a Master of the Art to go."
Siege muttered and shook his head.
"Still good thinking I doubt you could have taken him in a magickal fight, Gabriel had some serious power to his name."

After the fight:

He shook his head, "Sorry, but no. It would be tactically unsound, as well as bloody illegal."

Siege gave you a pained look, he appeared to be about to start crying.
"Are you going to destroy it?"
He asked fearfully.

He nodded, "It's safe again in there now - the fire is gone, and the man who made the fire can't get loose again. We'll see about getting more protection for you, though."

"Thank you Mr...ehm...what was your name again?"
Karl said he glanced at Kristina and sigh.
"Very well another room might be a good idea."
He said but both the creatures seamed a bit doubtful.
"How...did this chaos happen, he just came out of nowhere and...hurt us...took that kid guarding the door captive, what went wrong?"
Karl asked and raised and eyebrow.
"I do not appreciate being a pawn in the conflict of mages."
He commented. Mr Lenoe said nothing though, he was clearly the most shaken of the two.

Touching Lenoe felt very much like touching Crexia, he was cold to the touch and did not breathe and you felt no pulse.
"I did hear a British gentleman speak, but we never met Sir I was transported in the trunk of the car, I did not meet any of you really other than my collage Mr Roth Hicks."
The vampire said politely and he let you gently push him a few steps towards the basement chamber he had been kept in.
"No...I would not want to cause Tobias any distress, his safety are of the utmost importance to me...but I..."
He stopped moving and shivered.
"I...am not sure I can lay down and let myself be...restrained in such a way again...it have been twice now...and to be that helpless after...what happened I...am not sure I can...you know."
Lenoe said fearfully and looked down.

He grinned at Andrew and Serge, and saluted crisply, "RAF, actually. And yes, it is a bit rude to speculate so literally just behind someone's back."

"I am sorry Sir I did not mean to."
Andrew said and looked up at you apologetically.
"Oh and thank you for helping to save my life...I appreciate it and I owe all of you."
He said and smiled a little.

Once the Fallen was finished emptying his guts, on with the sleeve-gag; double knotting it at the rear, making it tight enough not to slip off, but not too tight. A tiny sigh of relief as the gun was removed, a slightly slightly raised eyebrow to the duct-tape in a purse,

Siege grunted a little in both anger and discomfort as you gagged him. Francesca gave you a bit of a playful look.
"I usually have some duct tape on me, you never know when some can come in handy."
She declared as she handed you the tape.

but took it with a nod. The sounds of ripping tape; the large woman pulling up a trouser-leg [showing another tattoo; some Chinese characters] and fishing out a small blade from her boot to slice the tape. Once both legs and arms were done [gently with the latter], she finally got up with a grunt and handed back the tape.

The Nephandus grunted in pain as his arms where pulled backwards, he did not resist though, resisting would have made it even worse for him, his shoulder where slowly pulling itself back together with Kristina's magick though. Francesca nodded and took the tape back and put it back into her purse.

"Yeah I...can show you the way ma'am."
Andrew said as he got to his feet a bit unsteady.
"There is a kitchen we all use, most of the time we buy our own food and then just make it in the kitchenette in the apartment but there is usually something in the fridge in the joined kitchen as well."
He explained.

Francesca nodded and looked at the vampires.
"Yeah we...need to get them restrained again but we should be a bit gentle about it this whole mess have been a shock on them to."
She said and she gave the vampires a concerned look.

Ty smiled a little at that.
"It might be ok if consented upon, if you trust someone that much kid, like with your Mentor I guess but do not do anything to anyone's mind without their consent or you might find yourself in a bit of hot water you know."
He said though he seamed friendly enough.
Colin wrote:Colin smiled thinly at Serge, looking a little less stern now, "Don't worry, I'm not angry or upset at the notion - some levity is necessary. Such spells often work like doors, and doors can be passed through both ways. So just be careful."

"Sure thing. I'll remember that." Serge said with a nod, agreeing with both of the experienced mages.

"Yeah...well I had breakfast a little while ago I do not think I could eat for a while though but when things get sorted out pizza would be an idea."
Andrew said and nodded.
"There are food in the communal kitchen though if you want something."

"Yeah I was there already. You know I had to make and bring that guy breakfast." Serge said nodding towards Siege who was in quite the bind.

"Yeah that may be it, but we should not talk about her behind her back it is rude you know."
Andrew said and blushed.
"Mr Wainwright over there was in the military as well you know, he was a pilot I think."
He said and nodded towards Colin.
Colin wrote:He grinned at Andrew and Serge, and saluted crisply, "RAF, actually. And yes, it is a bit rude to speculate so literally just behind someone's back."

"Sorry about that. Just trying to make small talk." Serge said with a smile. "And damn. Your a pilot. Man it seems everyone here has a more interesting story than I do. I'd ask you more but I don't think now is the best time.

"O...ok so everyone is going to be ok?"
Kyle asked.
"Is my brother hurt? Or Master Morgan?"
He asked behind the door.
"Who attacked us?"
"Yeah...yeah I am looking forward to it. I recognized your voice also I know who you are Serge."
Kyle said and he sounded like he was settling down.
"Are you sure everyone is going to be ok Serge?"

"Some prisoner managed to cause some chaos but it's all right now. By brother do you mean Mr. Roth Hicks? If that's the case than yeah he's fine. Master Morgan is probably taking care of some things upstairs." Serge informed the widderslainte.

"Everyone's going to be fine Kyle. Remember we have healers. Not to mention some of the most skilled mages around. You don't have to worry." Serge said trying to calm down Kyle even further.

He said and glared at you.
Colin smiled thinly, "You've seen an image of the world in a dark mirror held up by the tattered remnants of a broken earlier world... not necessarily the true nature. But yes, we can drop this for now."

"And I hope chocolate cookies will rain down from the sky tomorrow but unless you know someone who are not to concerned about Paradox it is not likely to happen, the Security Council on Horizon can be most brutal."
Siege said and shook his head.
He glanced toward Gloria's cell, "Well, now that you mention it... but no, I doubt the Security Chief would be altogether too happy if I were to let an ancient Marauder loose just to make chocolate cookies rain from the sky."

"Yeah ehm...no you will not get lucky twice Traditionalist."
The Nephandus said dismissively.
He shook his head, "I know a little bit about luck. Luck has very little to do with it at this point."

"Sounds like a messy and far from dignified way for a Master of the Art to go."
Siege muttered and shook his head.
"Still good thinking I doubt you could have taken him in a magickal fight, Gabriel had some serious power to his name."
He nodded, "Messy, but perhaps far more painless than he deserved. And no, I don't think I could have taken down a powerhouse like him in a straight up fight. But as the SAS says, if you find yourself in a fair fight, you've made a mistake."

Post-fight:
Siege gave you a pained look, he appeared to be about to start crying.
"Are you going to destroy it?"
He asked fearfully.
He shook his head, "So long as I hold on to it, no harm will come to your Avatar. To be honest... I don't think I could scratch it if I wanted to. I... would like to examine it, if you don't mind. I am aware it's a very personal request, though, and I will respect your privacy in that regard."

"Sure thing. I'll remember that." Serge said with a nod, agreeing with both of the experienced mages.
He smiled, "You do that... Exercise a little caution, and you can go far, young man."

He smiled warmly to Karl, "Wainwright. The chaos happened because a prisoner we thought restrained cheated. He's not a threat anymore, though; I hold his soul prisoner. And I am sorry for the discomfort you suffered - had it been up to me, you would have been treated far more hospitably..."
He pondered briefly and looked to Kristina, "I don't suppose you have a suggestion for that?"

Lenoe said fearfully and looked down.
He nodded, "I understand, all too well... but the sun is up, and you should be asleep now, not awake and stressed. Why don't you lie down to sleep, and we'll see if we can make a less painful arrangement, if at all possible? I... can't promise to find a more comfortable solution, but I certainly have a couple of ideas that might meet approval."

"I am sorry Sir I did not mean to."
Andrew said and looked up at you apologetically.
"Oh and thank you for helping to save my life...I appreciate it and I owe all of you."
He said and smiled a little.
He grinned and nodded toward Nicole, "Don't apologize to me, apologize to her; you've been here long enough that my military background should hardly be a subject for your speculation."

"Sorry about that. Just trying to make small talk." Serge said with a smile. "And damn. Your a pilot. Man it seems everyone here has a more interesting story than I do. I'd ask you more but I don't think now is the best time.
He grinned, "Luckily, taking rocketry to the face didn't put me off flying. And pretty soon, I'll be flying through the Umbra, as well. That's going to be interesting."

Francesca nodded and looked at the vampires.
"Yeah we...need to get them restrained again but we should be a bit gentle about it this whole mess have been a shock on them to."
She said and she gave the vampires a concerned look.
He nodded and glanced toward Kristina, "She's the expert. If we can just tuck them in for now, she might be able to help us arrange something less painful when she's done there."

He paused as he was leading Lenoe back into the room the vampires had been held in, and turned toward Engrave, "Oh, by the way, would you kindly stay for a bit? I would like to introduce you to a few people here. Good people, trustworthy friends and allies. Ones you can share your name with if you wish; I will not."

((OOC: Soooooo tempting for me, but not for Colin... What would happen if he presented the phylactery to Gloria, and asked her to make that chocolate cookie rain? Razz ))

Nicole observed the goings-on about the vampires, finished scratching herself and smoothed out her top. 'Okay... is there a decent plan for these three? And is that all here? If it is, think we'd better check the rest of the building, top to bottom. Or at least see what Security says.'

Re: Preparing for War, Pineal Glands and Deperate Measures IC Thread 21

Post by s7trif3 on Tue Sep 26, 2017 12:46 am

The ring did seam to have exactly the same energy as what you had earlier seen in Siege's gut.
 to the boy.
"Yes, that's it, and judging by the way he's acting about it confirms it," he nodded.
"No problem, but I didn't really do much. You should probably thank Mr. Wainwright, Mr. Roth Hicks.....and like everyone else here. We all did our part...even you by not succumbing to that bastard." Serge said giving a calming smile
"Nonsense, you were quite helpful. But yes, we all did our part and it's not quite over yet," he added.
Andrew smiled and wiped the tears from his cheeks he seamed very proud to be called Sodalis, a title Hermetics usually reserved for those who had been named Magus, as in those who had passed their Gauntlet and the apprentice was so pleased about the show of acceptance from an initiated Hermetic that he forgot his fear for a moment. "I ehm...thank you Sir...I do hope to make him proud."
"Of that, I do not have any doubt."
Helga spoke up at that.
"Perhaps I should take Andrew out of the cellar and go and find Mr Riez so he can take care of his student."
She suggested.
"And I can have a look at what is going on upstairs at the same time."
"Good idea, be careful, I'm sure there's still something lurking around. I'm glad you are okay," he added.
"I will have a look and see if what they where secured with before is still there, if not then we are going to need...something wooden." Ty said and both the vampires flinched, Mr Lenoe actually backed away from Ty and brought his arms up to protect his chest he was still to freaked out to let himself be rendered helpless and his eyes darted around as he seamed near going into another mad panic. "No...please...no..." The small man muttered fearfully
Adley sighed..."For the moment, let's get them back to the room they were in, it's daytime and they're hungry, this is not the best place to be."
"N...no it is just me in here..."
Kyle said still sound a bit nervous by all the noise.
"Are you sure all is ok? I still have that big book..."
He asked.
"Keep it handy and keep an ear out for trouble, but for now things are contained here. There may be more trouble elsewhere, so stay alert."
Kristina nodded at that.
"Very well, we can feed them once things have settled down, but they are going to have to be fed or they will end up suffering, hunger is not easy on these creatures."
"That has already been considered, as I said. I don't know exactly how far along arrangements are, and given what's going on, we're just going to do our best to minimize suffering. As we have been attempting to do."
"I...don't know him...Mr Roth Hicks..."
Lenoe muttered and glanced skeptically at Ty clearly not sure that the larger man would not harm him and so far he was still standing in a defensive position and not moving.
"I...I..."
He muttered nervously.
"We wish you to get somewhere safer and quiet. I'm sorry this happened, for all our sakes it was a cruel maneuver to use you both like that however, in order to prevent further harm coming to us all, I need you to cooperate. Please."
"I did hear a British gentleman speak, but we never met Sir I was transported in the trunk of the car, I did not meet any of you really other than my collage Mr Roth Hicks."
The vampire said politely and he let you gently push him a few steps towards the basement chamber he had been kept in.

Lenoe said fearfully and looked down.
"This man is trustworthy, for now please go with him, try to calm down. I know that was terrifying, but we're trying to keep everyone safe," he said to Lenoe, then let Colin maneuver him away from all the blood.
Karl asked and raised and eyebrow. "I do not appreciate being a pawn in the conflict of mages." He commented. Mr Lenoe said nothing though, he was clearly the most shaken of the two.
"We're not keen on you both being pawns either, as it happens, or stuck in our war but it was not us that brought you into this. The Nephandi truly want to destroy everything in existence and have strong armed, conscripted or who else knows what seemingly ever type of being they could. We're going to find out what happened and take care of it but we need you both to cooperate for now so that we can stop them, you know we can't let you wander around freely and under the rules of your houses things would go worse if tables were turned around. So, please," he said with sincerity and a bit of urgency.
You only needed to go about two steps to the side and a you would be outside of Kyle's locked door, you could unlock it without a key though just by moving the latch so you could get into the boy's room.
He didn't unlock the door, but peered in if there was a window to see if he was alright, so that he wouldn't have to reset the cell alarm. "I am unhurt, we are dealing with the issues, but I need you to stay aware for now if something happens, okay? Let us know if you see or hear anything weird. I know you don't have the best vantage point but try."
"Yeah I...can show you the way ma'am." Andrew said as he got to his feet a bit unsteady. "There is a kitchen we all use, most of the time we buy our own food and then just make it in the kitchenette in the apartment but there is usually something in the fridge in the joined kitchen as well."
"Pardon, but this crisis is not over yet just because we won a battle. There is still something going on and danger is still present," he reminded them. "There are likely at least one more battle and someone doing something sneaky, it's the latter we should concern ourselves with if the other battle is being handled...I would go with her at least, if you mean to leave," he nodded to Helga who had offered to take him back to his mentor a moment before.
Nicole observed the goings-on about the vampires, finished scratching herself and smoothed out her top. 'Okay... is there a decent plan for these three? And is that all here? If it is, think we'd better check the rest of the building, top to bottom. Or at least see what Security says.'
"Two vampires, which have a room and conditions already so the plan is to try to get them into their room, calm them down, and return them to the state that they were in before they were ill-used. This new prisoner is now removed from his avatar and so should not be able to cast now that he is bound and gagged, I assume he already had a cell and should be returned to it, and possibly other magical restraints considered. He will be healed and held there until his trial. I don't know who you are, but I agree the building will need to be checked for intruders and other problems, starting with down here, if this man broke through the umbra with entropy the ward might need to be patched back up. I can check in with the chief once these have been handled," he said, giving her an assessing look now that he had a second to do so.

Re: Preparing for War, Pineal Glands and Deperate Measures IC Thread 21

Post by Anja Rebekka Schultze on Tue Sep 26, 2017 7:19 am

Before the fight:

Colin smiled thinly, "You've seen an image of the world in a dark mirror held up by the tattered remnants of a broken earlier world... not necessarily the true nature. But yes, we can drop this for now."

Siege just grunted at you.

He glanced toward Gloria's cell, "Well, now that you mention it... but no, I doubt the Security Chief would be altogether too happy if I were to let an ancient Marauder loose just to make chocolate cookies rain from the sky."

"You have a bloody Marauder!?"
Siege asked and paled.
"Damn...no hopefully your Security Chief would not want that."

He shook his head, "I know a little bit about luck. Luck has very little to do with it at this point."

He just grunted and glared at you again at that.

He nodded, "Messy, but perhaps far more painless than he deserved. And no, I don't think I could have taken down a powerhouse like him in a straight up fight. But as the SAS says, if you find yourself in a fair fight, you've made a mistake."

"True enough it is better to be sneaky about it, and Gabriel probably at least got a far less painful death that he used to give his victims...what is SAS though? Sounds like an airline company or something."
The Nephandus asked and shrugged.

After the fight:

"Yeah I was there already. You know I had to make and bring that guy breakfast." Serge said nodding towards Siege who was in quite the bind.

"Well prisoners do have to be given food after all one do not want to be cruel to them. But yeah it should be food in the joined kitchen."
Andrew said and he looked nervously at Siege.

"Some prisoner managed to cause some chaos but it's all right now. By brother do you mean Mr. Roth Hicks? If that's the case than yeah he's fine. Master Morgan is probably taking care of some things upstairs." Serge informed the widderslainte.

"Ok so one of Larson's Nephandi tried to escape or something?"
Kyle asked then he added.
"Yeah I mean Mr Roth Hicks...ok that is good that he and Master Morgan is okey, what about you Serge are you hurt?"

"Everyone's going to be fine Kyle. Remember we have healers. Not to mention some of the most skilled mages around. You don't have to worry." Serge said trying to calm down Kyle even further.

Ok...ok...but there was so much screaming out there."
Kyle said nervously.
"But I guess there are healers yes."

He shook his head, "So long as I hold on to it, no harm will come to your Avatar. To be honest... I don't think I could scratch it if I wanted to. I... would like to examine it, if you don't mind. I am aware it's a very personal request, though, and I will respect your privacy in that regard."

Siege looked at you angrily.
"I...guess you can but do nothing that can damage it, and do not take it apart or anything."
He muttered tears rolling down his cheeks.
"What is going to happen to it?"

He smiled warmly to Karl, "Wainwright. The chaos happened because a prisoner we thought restrained cheated. He's not a threat anymore, though; I hold his soul prisoner.

"Nice to meet you Mr Wainwright...well a good prisoner cheats, I know I did when the police arrested me in the 30's."
He said though he raised an eyebrow when you said you held the man's sound captive and muttered under his breath.
"Well I guess there is a reason why my...ehm...mother warned me against mages."

And I am sorry for the discomfort you suffered - had it been up to me, you would have been treated far more hospitably..."

Karl smiled a little sadly and looked down at his chest.
"Well I did agree to it...and staying in Chicago is death for me right now and I am not going to just escape to the free states either I will be coming back to continue the fight so this was the only option..."

He pondered briefly and looked to Kristina, "I don't suppose you have a suggestion for that?"

"Lock them up and ward the room that should do or if you have to restrain them chain them down, use a good chain it should hold most of their kind and put a blindfold on them and unless they know something...exotic you should be fairly safe."
Kristina said and sigh.
"But I doubt that will give your Chantrymates the same feeling of being safe..."

He nodded, "I understand, all too well... but the sun is up, and you should be asleep now

Lenoe nodded at that, it was clear both the vampires where fighting to stay awake now that the immediate danger where over they had become rather sluggish but none of them felt safe enough to sleep just yet.

Why don't you lie down to sleep, and we'll see if we can make a less painful arrangement, if at all possible? I... can't promise to find a more comfortable solution, but I certainly have a couple of ideas that might meet approval."

"But...I might wake up in such a state then and not get my eyes open and...wake up from it being done and...I..."
Mr Lenoe protested fearfully and shook his head, Karl seamed to take the whole thing in stride now that he had calmed down but Lenoe where a ethics and history teacher at a university not a warrior he really did not know how to handle a situation like this and he was wringing his thin hands nervously.

He grinned and nodded toward Nicole, "Don't apologize to me, apologize to her; you've been here long enough that my military background should hardly be a subject for your speculation."

Andrew nodded he still looked a little guilty and he looked over at Nicole and said softly.
"Ehm...sorry ma'am...I did not mean to speculate about you I was rude I am sorry."
He looked like he wanted to add but you are so badass I had to wonder, but he did not.

He nodded and glanced toward Kristina, "She's the expert. If we can just tuck them in for now, she might be able to help us arrange something less painful when she's done there."

Kristina nodded.
"There are plenty of ways to hold a vampire I doubt these two are the most old and powerful some chains should do and yes try to get them to lay down and sleep, if we have to...stake them again they will suffer allot less if they are asleep when we do it, they will be relaxed, there will be no air in their lungs to press it's way out disturbing the stake and they will not see it coming."
The Verbena said.
"And besides if they are sleeping they will not be much of a danger for a while."
She commented and Francesca nodded.
"Yeah...ok but how do we get them to go back to their room and go to sleep?"

Nicole observed the goings-on about the vampires, finished scratching herself and smoothed out her top. 'Okay... is there a decent plan for these three? And is that all here? If it is, think we'd better check the rest of the building, top to bottom. Or at least see what Security says.'

"There is, we need to get them to go to sleep and then we will see...we are also going to have to get them fed but we can worry about that for later...I agree though Miss...ehm? We do not all need to be here and we should go and check out the rest of the building."
Francesca said and nodded in agreement.

"Nonsense, you were quite helpful. But yes, we all did our part and it's not quite over yet," he added.

"Well...thank you again Sir and...wat needs to be done? How can I help?"
Andrew asked and he gave you a smile he looked shaken but he wanted to be useful.

"Of that, I do not have any doubt."

Andrew smiled a little at that.

"Good idea, be careful, I'm sure there's still something lurking around. I'm glad you are okay," he added.

"Thank you."
Helga said flatly she was never one for much emotion or to many words.
"Ok Andrew if you would come along...the rest of you what if we leave just enough down here to deal with the prisoner and the vampires and the rest of us go to see what is going on in the rest of the Chantry, we do not need to crowd them after all."
The woman said as she indicated that Andrew should follow her and she headed towards the stairs. Andrew gave you and Serge a bit of a grateful look again before he followed Helga, several of those who had come down the stairs as back up did the same. Darrian came over, it seamed like Mundi was ok.
"I should go with Miss Willaims, Mundi is good at detecting spirits that should not be there."
The alchemist said and indicated his dog who where slightly limping. Mundi looked at you and wagged his tail happily and seeing you, remembering you had taken him for a walk earlier.

Adley sighed..."For the moment, let's get them back to the room they were in, it's daytime and they're hungry, this is not the best place to be."

Ty nodded and continued to try to shepherd the vampires back into the room they where kept in.
"I will clean up the mess and fix the mattresses..."
He said. Karl went in willingly but Lenoe was still pretty scared and he hesitated.

"Keep it handy and keep an ear out for trouble, but for now things are contained here. There may be more trouble elsewhere, so stay alert."

"Ok...ok that is good...are you okey?"
Kyle asked nervously.
"What sort of trouble..."

"That has already been considered, as I said. I don't know exactly how far along arrangements are, and given what's going on, we're just going to do our best to minimize suffering. As we have been attempting to do."

Kristina just nodded at that accepting your explanation and returning attention to her healing work.

"We wish you to get somewhere safer and quiet. I'm sorry this happened, for all our sakes it was a cruel maneuver to use you both like that however, in order to prevent further harm coming to us all, I need you to cooperate. Please."

"O...ok..."
Lenoe said and glanced at Siege bitterly for a moment.
"He used us like animals...used our...less dignified states like we where weapons..."
He said and he sounded quite upset over that.
"As if we where nothing that deserved a shred of decency..."
He said and sigh.
"I...I will try to cooperate but I am not sure I can force myself to stay still to be staked again it...hurts so much and I do not want to be helpless I..."
Lenoe said nervously and begun to wrung his hands again.

"This man is trustworthy, for now please go with him, try to calm down. I know that was terrifying, but we're trying to keep everyone safe," he said to Lenoe, then let Colin maneuver him away from all the blood.

"Ok...I...will go with him..."
Lenoe muttered but he sounded really unhappy he did stop resisting though and let Colin lead him into the room he and Karl had been kept in, the room was in utter disarray with two mattresses thrown to the side, one of them where shredded and sheets and pillows where everywhere, there where a bloody knife on the floor as well as a zippo lighter, probably what Siege had used to torture the two helpless vampires with before he let them loose to make sure they where in quite a state. Both Karl and Mr Lenoe backed away from these two items and Ty quickly picked them up and got them out of sight. There where also a chess board on the floor with pieces everywhere.

"I know it is not your fault, and these Nephandi do appear to be enemies of us all. I will cooperate I know I asked to be brought here I am...not happy to have to go though that again but I will cooperate I have experienced pain before...my relative here though are really scared I am not sure he could do it, not willingly."
Karl said and he glanced at Mr Lenoe.
"That prisoner of yours who escaped where quite...cruel while we where helpless to...do anything about it, that adds to the fear of being helpless again."
He said and looked down at his burns and winced.
"And if we are staked again these will not heal, not while we are in that state..."
He muttered and he sounded quite miserable.

There where no window but Kyle sounded like he was alright, he was scared but alright.
"Yeah...but are everything going to be fine...that man...said thing in that screeching language to that other prisoner...and that terrified me..."
The boy muttered nervously.

Andrew just nodded and looked down. Helga glanced at you.
"Yeah I am bringing our reinforcements and everyone else not needed to deal with the prisoner and the vampires I am thinking and we will drop Andrew off at his Mentor and then search the Chantry."
The Cultist suggested.

he said, giving her an assessing look now that he had a second to do so.

You get the feeling this is someone who is handy in a fight, but might not be the best at taking orders, she seamed friendly at least, though her Tradition where not clear from how she looked. There where something magickal about one of her arms and she was clearly a mage.

Ok...ok...but there was so much screaming out there."

"But I guess there are healers yes."

"Yeah most of that screaming was from the prisoner....like I said he tried to fight a very lopsided battle." Serge said eyeing Siege out of the corner of his eye.

Helga said flatly she was never one for much emotion or to many words.

"When your searching the chantry make sure to check up on Lisa Larson's daughter and any mages who are skilled in time magick." Serge said when he heard mention of searching the chantry.

"Those are some of the things that the Nephandi are looking for."

But those reasons are the point. It is the lack of protection from the traditions what took her down this road.

you are fighting a loosing battle."

Then i'll talk to the nine, or ask for a lesser punishment. There will be a way. We can't keep convicting our young because we are not able to protect them so they have to take upon themselves to save their superiors. It's against the natural order of things and it's shameful. She has not changed yet,a nd we have to preserve that, not burn it away in fear.

"It must suck for him to be hurt in such a way."
Jajajaja yeah, it sucks, but, he was healed almost in the field, so no big deal

how is that going?
We're making an habit of performing the impossible. I just came from healing a guy's avatar from vampire blood poisoning. I'm told it has never been done, or at least not recorded. Anyhow, it's done. He's addicted, of course, but he'll be safe in the Great Chantry and he'll be able to live as any other mage. His avatar is strong as an old oak, i tell you.

((Wait, what fight?))

"Well...thank you again Sir and...wat needs to be done? How can I help?" Andrew asked and he gave you a smile he looked shaken but he wanted to be useful.
He'd directed the comment to Serge, but really it could have been to both of them, so he said, "I need you to keep your eyes sharp and ears out for anything strange or that does not belong, or  has gone missing."

"Thank you."
Helga said flatly she was never one for much emotion or to many words.

"Ok...ok that is good...are you okey?"
Kyle asked nervously.
"What sort of trouble..."
"There's not time to explain right now, sorry."

Your displeasures and fears are understandable and we wish to minimize them and your pain, but there are limits, especially given the dangers." He sighed. He could well imagine the fun that the prisoner had for the moments he saw the vampires staked and helpless, much as Carmon had been.

There where no window but Kyle sounded like he was alright, he was scared but alright. "Yeah...but are everything going to be fine...that man...said thing in that screeching language to that other prisoner...and that terrified me..."
Adley frowned a bit. "Did you understand what he said? What was it that scared you so?" While he was in the area, he looked around to see if the wards were holding, since Siege had said he used magick to decay his way out of his prison.

'Ah, don't worry about it.' Nicole replied, giving a nod. 'Y'not the first, or gonna be the last. Anyway, shit like this is what I do.'

Andrew gave you a smile.
"Well you are really impressive ma'am."
He said wide eyed.

Nicole listened to the discussion with increasing impatience; clearly not the type to stand around doing nothing. Mind already planning ahead; wondering how big this place was, whether she had the time to go back to her car to get a gun and the like...

"Would you like to go with me and the rest of the group that are taking Andrew back to his Mentor...we should probably get Miss Day to a bed as well..."
The woman who had a gun earlier said and glanced down to the healed Goth woman who was not slowly sitting up with the gray eyed man who had gotten her to safety's help.
"Anyway when we have gotten them to safety we are checking on the rest of the Chantry and we can need your help."
She said and eyed you in a way that said she really where not to fond of company.
"I am Helga Williams bani Cult of Ecstasy by the way."

"Yeah something like that. You know funnily enough its the same guy that I had to talk to in the morning." Serge said.

"I see that is a little weird, then again I guess he had every reason to try to escape i am glad things are under control now at least."
Kyle said hesitantly.

"Don't worry I'm fine. Remember what we discussed? I stood well in the back behind the tank mages and I was fine." Serge said with a slight chuckle.

"That is good, I am glad you where not hurt."
The young mange muttered.

"Yeah most of that screaming was from the prisoner....like I said he tried to fight a very lopsided battle." Serge said eyeing Siege out of the corner of his eye.

Siege where not having the best of days, he was now bound and gagged though his shoulder wound at least was almost completely healed.
"There was allot of snarling and just noise in general as well..."
Kyle said hesitantly.

Serge returned Andrew's grateful look with a friendly smile and wave and then glanced at Helga and Adley's conversation.

"When your searching the chantry make sure to check up on Lisa Larson's daughter and any mages who are skilled in time magick." Serge said when he heard mention of searching the chantry.

"Those are some of the things that the Nephandi are looking for."

"They will be our first stop as soon as we get Miss Day to a bed and Andrew back to his Mentor,"
Helga said glumly.
"I heard that was what they where looking for, and we can not let the Fallen have what they want."

He'd directed the comment to Serge, but really it could have been to both of them, so he said, "I need you to keep your eyes sharp and ears out for anything strange or that does not belong, or has gone missing."

"I will do so Sir."
Andrew agreed and nodded.
"Do you think there are any other Nephandi in the Chantry?"

"Good idea," he agreed, then smiled a little at Mundi and reached out to give the familiar a scratch behind the ears or quick pat of hello.

Mundi licked your hand and the speed of his tail wiggling increased as you petted him. Helga just nodded as she prepared to take her group and get out of the basement.

"There's not time to explain right now, sorry."

Kyle sounded a bit unsure.
"Yeah...ehm...ok it is ok don't let me keep you Adley I am ok."
He said still sounding a bit nervous.

"He is captured now. I understand you are upset, but please try to calm down for now."

Lenoe looked at you then he sigh.
"Yeah...I...will try..."
He muttered sounding rather unsure that he could.

"Sir, I really don't want to have to force the issue, in light of what has happened especially. If you can try to talk to him in the meantime, calm him down somewhat, I would be grateful. Your displeasures and fears are understandable and we wish to minimize them and your pain, but there are limits, especially given the dangers." He sighed. He could well imagine the fun that the prisoner had for the moments he saw the vampires staked and helpless, much as Carmon had been.

"Yeah holding Dennis down and staking him would be even worse...I can see what i can do but I am not sure I will be able to calm him down but I will try."
Karl said and glanced over at Lenoe sadly.
"I understand your group have to take their precautions and it would have been easier for you guys to just kill us when we lost control back then you choose to spare us and I am grateful for that I bare you and yours no ill will however you have to understand that...we are...well it is not a easy thing those precautions..."
He said softly.

Adley frowned a bit. "Did you understand what he said? What was it that scared you so?" While he was in the area, he looked around to see if the wards were holding, since Siege had said he used magick to decay his way out of his prison.

The wards down here looked rather ok, but from how they where behaving there might be breaches somewhere else. Kyle sigh.
"Yeah I understood him but it made no sense...he told the vulgar guy not to worry, that a portal would be opened now that there was a hole in our wards and Lady Larson's kid would be sucked out and if they where lucky they could send some nasty Umbroods to take some of us out at the same time...I am not sure what all of that means but it sounded bad."

(OOC: Well I do think the result of giving Gloria the ring would be that she would wear it as jewelry it have no value to her, she is not the Phylactery's host. As for chocolate chip cookies, now really now one do not make cookies with chocolate that is far to bitter, chocolate is for hot drinks.)

Serge and Tane Earlier:

But those reasons are the point. It is the lack of protection from the traditions what took her down this road.

"Some of our laws might need to be changed but that do not mean they can just be ignored Mr karyak, laws takes time to change, time and allot of lobbying and politics."
Hildegard said and sigh.

"You can certainly try to address the Council during an open session, I would advice talking with your Cabalmates first though to learn somewhat how to talk to them and also do not have your hopes to high, I have never heard of such a pardon being grated, not to a Nephandus."
The old Chorister said and shook her head.

Jajajaja yeah, it sucks, but, he was healed almost in the field, so no big deal

"He is rather sturdy then your friend...that is good."
Cadence said and smiled.
"It is never easy to see our friends hurt..."
She muttered and looked down.

"That is quite amazing."
Cadence said.
"I am not completely sure what vampire blood poisoning do to an Avatar but it do not sound plesant I am glad you where able to help that guy Tane."
The girl said and Hildegard raised and eyebrow and nodded.
"Most impressive Mr Karyak..."
She said approvingly.

(OOC: A prisoner escaped and caused trouble in the basement and the rest of the group took him down. This happens about one or two hours from the point of time Tane is at now.)

Anja's Post:
Andrew gave you a smile.
"Well you are really impressive ma'am."
He said wide eyed.

Nicole gave a little shrug to this; half of it was mere chance - having arrived earlier on the scene than most of the others - and the other half fairly routine. At least by her standards.

Anja's Post:
"Would you like to go with me and the rest of the group that are taking Andrew back to his Mentor...we should probably get Miss Day to a bed as well..."
The woman who had a gun earlier said and glanced down to the healed Goth woman who was not slowly sitting up with the gray eyed man who had gotten her to safety's help.
"Anyway when we have gotten them to safety we are checking on the rest of the Chantry and we can need your help."
She said and eyed you in a way that said she really where not to fond of company.
"I am Helga Williams bani Cult of Ecstasy by the way."

A quick look around, just checking everything was fine, than a nod. 'Sound move. Nicole Bouchard, Sons of Ether.' Turning to the Goth on the floor, proffered her gloved hand, clearly offering to help her up to her feet.

Andrw gave you a bit of a smile, he still seamed rather grateful though.

The woman on the floor took your hand and let you help her up.
"Thank you...I am Henrietta Day, hedge wizard member of the Hollow Ones."
She muttered and gave you a slightly dazed smile she had been hit in the head and while healed she was not completely recovered yet.
"Ok we should get going Miss Bouchard was it? If you could make up the rear? Hopefully there are no more trouble but if there are we need to protect the kid and Miss Day until we get them to safety."
Helga said and she quickly checked her weapon before heading to the stairs.

"You have a bloody Marauder!?"
Siege asked and paled.
"Damn...no hopefully your Security Chief would not want that."
Colin smiled thinly, "Yes, Larson tried to have her kill us. That didn't work out entirely too well, so now she's our guest."

"True enough it is better to be sneaky about it, and Gabriel probably at least got a far less painful death that he used to give his victims...what is SAS though? Sounds like an airline company or something."
The Nephandus asked and shrugged.
He grinned, "Special Air Services... They're fairly similar to US Army Rangers. Except being British and better, of course."

Siege looked at you angrily.
"I...guess you can but do nothing that can damage it, and do not take it apart or anything."
He muttered tears rolling down his cheeks.
"What is going to happen to it?"
He nodded, "Looking only; nothing that would constitute poking or prodding. And I'm quite certain nothing will be done to it until your trial. Until that is over, it will most likely be kept mainly under lock and key, for safety. I will do what I can to ensure its location at all time, though - and keep you informed. It's the least I can do."

He nodded, "Quite so. Though in this fellow's case, his soul was already detached. Some Magi are a bit... weird, even for Magi."

Karl smiled a little sadly and looked down at his chest.
"Well I did agree to it...and staying in Chicago is death for me right now and I am not going to just escape to the free states either I will be coming back to continue the fight so this was the only option..."
He pondered, "We might be able to see what can be done about things in Chicago, but we don't precisely have open communication channels with the vampires there... The Prince might have some house cleaning to do soon that could take the pressure off you, but until then... well, we might be able to make things less unpleasant by hiding you elsewhere."

He nodded, "No, I suppose it would not help."
He gave her a sly wink, "If only we had some ally with connections that might know of a safehouse where Mages would not feel at risk. Ah, well, wishes and horses..."

He nodded, "I can't do much to fight those fears of yours, I'm afraid... but you can. All I can offer is that we will not do anything out of cruelty."

He gave Francesca a wry smile, "First of all, we gently lead them to lie down and get comfortable... I'm given to understand the rest should go quite smoothly."

He frowned, "And that treatment is all on his shoulders, not yours."

He frowned at the burns, "The healer we have with us... she is well acquainted with vampires. She might have something that will soothe your burns quickly."

He pondered as he helped Ty sort out the makeshift bedroom, then peeked out to the others, "Ah, could perhaps a group of two or three go to the garage and look for some chains? I do believe there's at least a truck with snow chains in the back."

((OOC: No response from Engrave? Also, what would happen, Paradox-wise, if Gloria went just a wee bit overboard with the phylactery on her finger? Razz ))

((OOC2: And sorry I didn't post before now; been bedridden with a splitting headache all day. Sad I think there might be some Primium clumping my pineal gland. Razz ))

Before the fight:

Colin smiled thinly, "Yes, Larson tried to have her kill us. That didn't work out entirely too well, so now she's our guest."

"Well that...is quite disturbing...now that you mention it Lady Larson did mention a Marauder she had gotten to work for her, that have to be her then..."
Siege muttered and he looked a little disturbed at the thought of a Marauder nearby.

He grinned, "Special Air Services... They're fairly similar to US Army Rangers. Except being British and better, of course."

"I see...so you have a military background...interesting..."
Was all the Nephandus had to say to that.
"Well I have little knowledge about such things."

"Well that is some comfort at least though someone examining my ring do make me feel uncomfortable it is fine enough."
The Nephandus said then he sigh.
"What will happen to it after the trial?"

After the fight:

He nodded, "Quite so. Though in this fellow's case, his soul was already detached. Some Magi are a bit... weird, even for Magi."

"I see...I have to admit not knowing to much about mages but walking around with a detached soul, that sounds most impractical."
Karl said and scratched his head.

"Eventually the Prince will have other matters to think about and his wrath that my grandsire ignored his ordered and helped your group against his allies will fade, for now though I would be a prime target...hiding somewhere else perhaps, but I assume this city also have a vampire society that would be less than welcoming if they where to find out I am here."
The ogle eyes man said and sigh.
"It is what it is."

He nodded, "No, I suppose it would not help."
He gave her a sly wink, "If only we had some ally with connections that might know of a safehouse where Mages would not feel at risk. Ah, well, wishes and horses..."

"I...can talk with my husband however he knows the man rescued from the Nephandi that was offered sanctuary in his home, two strangers through I doubt he will be willing to take them in."
Kristina said then she glanced at Karl and Lenoe.
"I am sorry gentlemen."
Karl just sigh and nodded.
"It is not your fault ma'am."

He nodded, "I can't do much to fight those fears of yours, I'm afraid... but you can. All I can offer is that we will not do anything out of cruelty."

"Your group have not been cruel to me that is true."
Mr Lenoe said and sigh.
"I am not sure I can fight those fears though I...I am just a teacher nothing more I am not used to these kinds of things."
He muttered desperately.

He gave Francesca a wry smile, "First of all, we gently lead them to lie down and get comfortable... I'm given to understand the rest should go quite smoothly."

"I is the getting them to lay down that concerned me though I guess you are right from what little I know about their kind they should should fall right back asleep when they stop trying to fight to stay awake."
She said and glanced at the two vampires.

He frowned, "And that treatment is all on his shoulders, not yours."

"Loosing control is always on my shoulders Mr Wainwright I can not allow myself to think any differently or I will loose myself and all I have worked for."
Lenoe said sadly though he offered you an uncertain smile.

He frowned at the burns, "The healer we have with us... she is well acquainted with vampires. She might have something that will soothe your burns quickly."

"Thank you Sir that would be appreciated."
Karl said and Lenoe nodded. Kristina glanced in and shook her head.
"I am not skilled with healing the dead Mr Wainwright but if someone can work with me and add the understanding of the world of dead matter than I lack then I might be able to do something to help them."

He pondered as he helped Ty sort out the makeshift bedroom, then peeked out to the others, "Ah, could perhaps a group of two or three go to the garage and look for some chains? I do believe there's at least a truck with snow chains in the back."

"I can go."
Francesca said and Adjan nodded and stood up from where he had been assisting Henrietta.
"I can go with her, we should check that the garage is clear anyway."
He offered.

A small grunt as she pulled the Hollow One up, then nodded to Helga. 'I can do that; lead the way.' wielding her little blade in her off hand.

Helga nodded and lead the small group up the stairs keeping Andrew and Henrietta in the middle together with the group that had come down the stairs as unneeded back up. Adjan ran up to your group and said.
"I and Fran are going to the garage so we will join you up the stairs..."
He said and Helga nodded.

You and the small gaggle of mages got up to the first floor, there was not that many people here right now but there was that feeling of unease, like an electric feeling from upstairs.
"Do you feel that?"
Francesca said and Adjan nodded.
"Those chains might have to wait..."

(OOC: I am sorry if I missed a paragraph or if I misunderstood one of your responses as being about Engrave it was a long post I wrote this morning could you repeat what Colin said to Engrave and I will respond to it.)

(OOC 2: I do not know actually what would happen if a Marauder got Paradox while wearing someone's Phylactery, I might have to ask about that one on the Mage group.)

(OOC: Get well soon...hum have you been abusing green Sons of Ether drugs that is not good for you you know. Razz )

"I see that is a little weird, then again I guess he had every reason to try to escape i am glad things are under control now at least."
Kyle said hesitantly.
"That is good, I am glad you where not hurt."
The young mange muttered.
Siege where not having the best of days, he was now bound and gagged though his shoulder wound at least was almost completely healed.
"There was allot of snarling and just noise in general as well..."
Kyle said hesitantly.

"I'm glad your fine as well as well. Yeah he caused a bit of commotion down here." Serge said deciding to gloss over the fact that their had been feral vampires loose in the room. He didn't need Kyle to worry too much.

"Wait are you sure he said that!" Serge said as his eyes widened remembering certain parts of the prophetic picture.

Looking back at Adley, Serge said in worriedly, "Wait if what Kyle says is true doesn't it sound like the Nephandi are literally going to open a portal to the umbra and just take what they want?"

"When your searching the chantry make sure to check up on Lisa Larson's daughter and any mages who are skilled in time magick." Serge said when he heard mention of searching the chantry.
"Those are some of the things that the Nephandi are looking for.""They will be our first stop as soon as we get Miss Day to a bed and Andrew back to his Mentor,"
Helga said glumly. "I heard that was what they where looking for, and we can not let the Fallen have what they want."
"Good."
"I will do so Sir."
Andrew agreed and nodded.
"Do you think there are any other Nephandi in the Chantry?"
"It's possible, them or their agents."
"Saving the world from ultimate destruction is not bound to be an easy thing" he said. "Please, just do your best. Go into that room for now with my amicus, we don't have a lot of time."
His eyes widened in alarm. "Very bad," he said as he dug out his phone to alert the Chief and everyone else that was left in the room. "We've got incoming upstairs...!"

'For fucks sake...' Nicole muttered, giving a sigh; all the while keeping an eye on everything. Particularly items such as firearms, metal pipes or anything which could be used as a weapon. Unless it was an enemy holding said weapon and going for them... being stuck in a corridor wasn't good either.

Prefight:
"Well that...is quite disturbing...now that you mention it Lady Larson did mention a Marauder she had gotten to work for her, that have to be her then..."
Siege muttered and he looked a little disturbed at the thought of a Marauder nearby.
Colin grinned, "Let's just say we're not ruling out returning the favour. Weaponizing paradox in such a manner might not be entirely ethical, but it might be amusing to watch from a distance..."

"I see...so you have a military background...interesting..."
Was all the Nephandus had to say to that.
"Well I have little knowledge about such things."
He tilted his head to the side, "Oh, I never claimed I was ever with the SAS, just that as a Brit, I do have some pride in their prowess."

"Well that is some comfort at least though someone examining my ring do make me feel uncomfortable it is fine enough."
The Nephandus said then he sigh.
"What will happen to it after the trial?"
He shrugged, "That... depends entirely on the outcome of the trial. I have no idea what the precedent for a Fallen phylactery would be... though, I would not be too optimistic, I'm afraid."

After Combat:
"I see...I have to admit not knowing to much about mages but walking around with a detached soul, that sounds most impractical."
Karl said and scratched his head.
He shrugged, "Well, it did help him circumvent the restraints on his magic, so it's hardly entirely impractical. More of a trade-off, really."

He nodded, "It is what it is... I keep hearing that a lot lately. Well, everything must change at some point; let's hope the changes are for the better."

He nodded, "Actually, I was more thinking your husband might know someone - a friend of a friend sort of arrangement."

"Your group have not been cruel to me that is true."
Mr Lenoe said and sigh.
"I am not sure I can fight those fears though I...I am just a teacher nothing more I am not used to these kinds of things."
He muttered desperately.
He arched an eyebrow, "You know, one of the things that scare me is addressing crowds of strangers... You do that on a daily basis; I don't know that my courage would be up to the same. And I have seen... well, things that would make others pass out in terror."

"Loosing control is always on my shoulders Mr Wainwright I can not allow myself to think any differently or I will loose myself and all I have worked for."
Lenoe said sadly though he offered you an uncertain smile.
He nodded, "All the same, I don't think anyone will fault you for being so viciously provoked by a Nephandus. Well, that's not entirely true - the same people who blame the poor for not being born to wealthy parents might... but I don't think those are represented at this Chantry."

He sighed, "Ah, well, if anyone knew offhand, it would be you, I suppose - but I will ask around."

"I can go."
Francesca said and Adjan nodded and stood up from where he had been assisting Henrietta.
"I can go with her, we should check that the garage is clear anyway."
He offered.
He nodded, "Very good - those should be easily employed as makeshift restraints, at least, without the need for staking."

You and the small gaggle of mages got up to the first floor, there was not that many people here right now but there was that feeling of unease, like an electric feeling from upstairs.
"Do you feel that?"
Francesca said and Adjan nodded.
"Those chains might have to wait..."

He frowned, "Bloody hell, I'll be up as soon as things are calm here... just hurry!"

Repeat from earlier:
He paused as he was leading Lenoe back into the room the vampires had been held in, and turned toward Engrave, "Oh, by the way, would you kindly stay for a bit? I would like to introduce you to a few people here. Good people, trustworthy friends and allies. Ones you can share your name with if you wish; I will not."

((OOC: Address repeated. Also, headache is pretty much gone now. Good thing, too.))

((OOC2: Why do I have the feeling that such a question might be answered with something to the tune of a nervous breakdown? Wink ))

Before the Fight:

Colin grinned, "Let's just say we're not ruling out returning the favour. Weaponizing paradox in such a manner might not be entirely ethical, but it might be amusing to watch from a distance..."

"That would be quite unpleasant, effective though but you have to excuse me to hope you will do do just that."
The Nephandus said and frowned.

He tilted his head to the side, "Oh, I never claimed I was ever with the SAS, just that as a Brit, I do have some pride in their prowess."

"True enough. I was thinking with your scars they might have been gotten in combat, though then again what do I know. Anyway it is good to be proud of one's nation of origin but it is also completely irrelevant in this Sir..."
He said and raised an eyebrow.

He shrugged, "That... depends entirely on the outcome of the trial. I have no idea what the precedent for a Fallen phylactery would be... though, I would not be too optimistic, I'm afraid."

Siege looked rather devastated at that and did not reply he just looked away.

Basement:

"I'm glad your fine as well as well. Yeah he caused a bit of commotion down here." Serge said deciding to gloss over the fact that their had been feral vampires loose in the room. He didn't need Kyle to worry too much.

"I guess there are some benefit to being locked up in here, he could not get to me."
Kyle said then he sigh.
"Still I do wonder what he really wanted by causing all that trouble if he just wanted to escape all of that would not have been needed."

"Wait are you sure he said that!" Serge said as his eyes widened remembering certain parts of the prophetic picture.

"Yeah I am sure he said that..."

"It's possible, them or their agents."

Andrew looked quite concerned about that.

"Saving the world from ultimate destruction is not bound to be an easy thing" he said. "Please, just do your best. Go into that room for now with my amicus, we don't have a lot of time."

Karl looked at you for a moment then he nodded and managed to lead Mr Lenoe back into the room they had been kept it, the little professor looked rather terrified though.

His eyes widened in alarm. "Very bad," he said as he dug out his phone to alert the Chief and everyone else that was left in the room. "We've got incoming upstairs...!"

The Chief took the phone and you heard some very strange sounds from the phone, some sort of static, he still managed to hiss though.
"Thank you for telling me mea filius I am quite aware though...damned Nephandi!"

The Umbrood looked at you though he was still carving, now he was writing about other Nephandi Siege had met and conflicts he had with some of them, he was just continuing with the task of writing the man's story until told otherwise.
"I can stay in what you see as here yes but what is a bit?"
The spirit asked looking confused.
"I do not want to share my name with many, but can can meet them if you want me to friend."
He agreed and continued carving.

He shrugged, "Well, it did help him circumvent the restraints on his magic, so it's hardly entirely impractical. More of a trade-off, really."

"I see well I guess in a way most things are..."
Karl said and nodded.

He nodded, "It is what it is... I keep hearing that a lot lately. Well, everything must change at some point; let's hope the changes are for the better."

"Oh I certainly agree to that Mr Wainwright and I believe in fighting for change but sometimes one have to accept what is to survive for that fight..."

He nodded, "Actually, I was more thinking your husband might know someone - a friend of a friend sort of arrangement."

"I can ask him and it is possible but very few vampires seek out to help one another unless the one they are helping is a trusted friend, family member or ally but it could be I will ask him."
Kristina said and frowned.

He arched an eyebrow, "You know, one of the things that scare me is addressing crowds of strangers... You do that on a daily basis; I don't know that my courage would be up to the same. And I have seen... well, things that would make others pass out in terror."

Lenoe smiled a little sadly at that.
"I think I might prefer to face the things you describe that others pass out in fear of than to be so helpless again."
He muttered and placed a thin hand protectively over his chest.

He nodded, "All the same, I don't think anyone will fault you for being so viciously provoked by a Nephandus. Well, that's not entirely true - the same people who blame the poor for not being born to wealthy parents might... but I don't think those are represented at this Chantry."

"Oh I doubt many would blame us, you are kind for saying so though Mr Wainwright, but I am blaming me, you have to understand when I loose control I might end up killing someone, the nice woman that helped us play chess and kept us company, Dennis hit her when she tried to calm him down, loosing control is dangerous and...I do not enjoy ending up in such a state of mind."
Karl said and Lenoe looked down and nodded sadly.

He sighed, "Ah, well, if anyone knew offhand, it would be you, I suppose - but I will ask around."

"I know several to work with but they are not here in Boston, among others my Mentor who is Master of both Life and Matter."
Kristina said.
"Well anyone with a little knowledge of healing and the dead world of matter will do."
She declared.
"Well and who can work with my Paradigm of course."

He nodded, "Very good - those should be easily employed as makeshift restraints, at least, without the need for staking."

"I feel save enough with that, the question is if the Chief will agree to it but I will get the chains."
Francesca agreed. Both Karl and Lenoe seamed to relax a little hearing that.

He frowned, "Bloody hell, I'll be up as soon as things are calm here... just hurry!"

"That did not sound good."
Mr Lenoe said softly.
"I will try to cooperate then...so you are not kept down here instead of helping your friends."
He said and he tried to lay down on the mattress that Ty had made up again with sheets and a pillow, the vampire lay curled up in a ball though and where far from relaxing.
"What if the Chief the girl spoke about decide we do have to be staked and I can not open my eyes I would be blind as well."
He said fearfully. Karl sigh and laid down on his matrass and nodded.
"It would make it worse..."
He agreed and looked at the roof.
First Floor:

'For fucks sake...' Nicole muttered, giving a sigh; all the while keeping an eye on everything. Particularly items such as firearms, metal pipes or anything which could be used as a weapon. Unless it was an enemy holding said weapon and going for them... being stuck in a corridor wasn't good either.

There where no firearms laying around but there where regular furniture around and metal pipes in a way held the curtains in place they had to be threaded on something after all and some of the lamps could be dismantled for metal tubing.
"We need to get upstairs and help..."
The man others had called Adjan said then he turned to Andrew.
"Kid please take Miss Day to the cafeteria and hide therefor now it should be safe enough."
He said then he glanced up the stairs.
"I guess the chains Mr Wainwright wanted will have to wait, do anyone need to prepare anything before we go up there?"

(OOC: I have replied to the commented to Engrave now sorry for missing it first time around. Also I am glad you are feeling better Warp.)
