A nice, classy looking lady smiles and comes towards Adley as he enters the silversmith shop, she looks the young man up and down before she give him a small nod of her head.
"Good afternoon Sir, are you by any chance a Mr Adley Roth Hicks? You fit the description of such a gentleman that my employer Mr Wainwright said might come calling. Please Sir right this way."
The lady say, her dark blond hair is in an elegant bun and she wears a simple but tasteful business suit with a pencil skirt.
"If you just go down the set of stairs behind the counter here you will get to Mr Wainwright's workshop, and do let me know if there is anything I might be of service with."
The clerk say as give a friendly smile and point to a set of stairs behind a door right behind the shop's counter.

The time is about 1:30 in the afternoon so yes that is within regular business hours.

Recap of this thread:

Six young magi have formed a Cabal at the blended Chantry Steelhaven, Jon the Virtual Adept, Colin and Bruce both Orphans, Adley a Hermetic of House Flambeau, Beatrice a Verbena and Richard a member of the Akashic Brotherhood.

All the Cabal members except Jon meet up in the Chantry common room and decide to get some pizza, their meal get rushed though when Jeffry Morgan, Adley's mentor ask them to go to the Chantry's secondary node, located in an old villa just outside Boston, the old Hermetic's Umbrood allies are uneasy and he think it is a wise precaution to just gather some tass from the secondary Node to fill the Chantry's stores, just in case there is trouble.

It turned out there is trouble, as the Cabal near the villa Node they feel that is is heavily Entropic resonated, further investigation show that it is not just Entropic it is Qliphotic. Beatrice get quite terrified by this and outright refuse to enter the villa, the Cabal at this time take this to mean that she is just afraid of what have happened to the Node, a natural enough reaction and leave her in the car. As the Cabal go into the villa they find the door is unclocked. Adley check the villa's wards and find that out of the three wards, two are destroyed leaving only the Arcane giving ward active, he also find that the Umbrood Lord that guards the Node is destroyed, during the investigation though a splinter of the Umbrood lodges itself in his Avatar, causing the Hermetic great pain and worry.

The Cabal continue their investigations, they eventually find a Nephandus in the basement where the Node is, the Nephandus have been shot by the Technocracy and found the villa while fleeing. He have sacrificed his young apprentice in a ritual that in turn corrupted the Node in the hope that by attuning the Node more to his own Resonance he will be able to heal the wounds caused by Primium bullets. this plan however have failed and when the Cabal find the Fallen mage he is just barely alive, his own advanced J'hor having added to worsening his condition. Richard find the Nephandus phone and in a message he speak about having a mate, another Nephandus named Lisa, a picture of a woman was found in his wallet.

The Cabal decide they have no way to safely transport the Nephandus to take him in alive, so Colin humanly put him out of his misery and the group set about burning and burying the bodies, during this work Jon arrive with the Celestial Chorister Hildegaard. Jon start working on the Nephandus' phone and Hildegaard investigates the Node, concluding that she need help to try to cleanse it.

During the work with disposing of the bodies Beatrice tells Adley the secret her mentor have ordered her to keep from her Cabal, three years ago it was discovered that she was a widderslainte, she was put on trial before the Council of Nine and sentenced to Gilgul but the sentence was suspended as long as she stayed away from anything to do with the Nephandi and committed no crimes against the Protocols, she was Branded though.Adley is rather shocked and angry to hear this at at first he considers leaving the Cabal and so do Beatrice who fear they will all turn against her when they find out what she is.

After finishing up at the Node the group go back to Steelhaven. Adley speak with his mentor who did know what Beatrice is, the old Hermetic tell his apprentice that he wanted Adley to befriend the young Verbena so that one day he might be able to guide her to ask for the suspension of her sentence to be lifted and by that removing the danger he pose, either in this life or in the next. Meanwhile Beatrice tell all of the other Cabal members save Jon, as he was not there, what she is, better they find out from her than from Adley, the Cabal takes it better than Beatrice feared and even Adley seams to have calmed down some, the Cabal decide to stay together though both Bruce and Colin begin to plan for how to take Beatrice down if her corrupted Avatar get the better of her.

The Cabal do to their rooms and go to bed, the next morning they meet up again as they are being sent to the Hermetic Chantry Lux Itineris, Hildegaard recommended that Hedge Wizards be employed as guards for the villa node until it can be cleansed at Hedge Wizards deal better with being exposed to strong Resonance of any kind than their Awakened cousins, and the Order of Hermes have a rather organized program for finding and training Hedge Wizards so Jeffry want the Cabal to hire some from them, to give the young mages the ability to negotiate he gives his apprentice Adley his sigil, the proof of his membership in the Order of Hermes so the young willworker can negotiate with Jeffry's voice, since he after all are a member of Steelhaven's Deacon Council and are the Chantry's Security Chief. Adley also get some letters to hire a Mercere to deliver.

The Cabal go to Lux Itineris and are met by Puridur a Bonisagus that Adley know slightly, she tell them that the Chantry's guardian Umbrood, Uragi, was uneasy last night as well. Adley finds Lux Itineris resident Mercere Laisa and deliver the letters, she appear to have some history with his mentor Jeffry though what exactly is hard to tell. Laisa sends her apprentice Hank to give Adley an envelope with information for Jeffry, though Laisa warns that the content is disturbing.

The Cabal meets Alphonse a old Master of the Art and one of Lux Itineris Deacons,he takes them to a meeting hall and the Cabal, Alphone, a Hedge Wizard member of House Bonisagus named Aurora and a somewhat stern Quaesitor by the name of Vittoria Sofia D'Angelo. The negotiations for Hedge Wizard guards ends with Lux Itineris promising to provide five unawakened magi to Steelhaven in exchange for nine drams of tass and books copies from Steelhaven's library. Both Aldely and Colin do very well in the negotiations. At the end of the meeting though Vittorian threaten Beatrice, promising to twist the law to get the suspension of her sentence revoked consequences be damned, this freaks Beatrice out and the Cabal quickly make their retreat with Bruce stopping to speak with Nico a very enthusiastic young Verditius, both the artificers are impressed with one another's work and decided to meet up later. Colin make arrangement to meet with Alphonse over a good bottle of wine next Saturday to exchange war stories. The Hermetic Chantry also want all the information they can get on the female Nephandus that the man found in the Node had a relationship with.

The Cabal go back to Steelhaven, Beatrice is in panic, Richard do manage to calm her down a little but not much. The Cabal rapport to Jeffry and the old mage agree to help in any way he can to stop Vittoria in her plans, not because he do not want Beatrice to be Gilgulled, but because the Quaesitor is breaking the law and she is threatening a member of Steelhaven and Jeffry will not take that laying down. Colin suggest that magick be used to secure a record of what Vittoria said and Jeffry send him and Adley who also volunteer to Deacon Primus George Steelhaven to have that done. George take the young magi's testimony using a Mind effect that write a record down on a piece of parchment, he also give Adley some advice on possible other way to keep Beatrice from being a danger, including making her Avatar a phylactery, helping her becoming a Exemplar and also advice him that there was a girl with a Fallen Avatar like hers that supposedly got cleansed, but before it could be proven Vittoria's brother, also a Quaesitor put the girl on trial and had her Gilgulled as a widderslainte. George promises Adley he will try to get the contact information for the widderslainte girl's Cabal, in the hope they can shed some more light on the information. Adley then go to visit Colin in his workshop.

Jeffry fear there will be a Nephandi infestation in Boston and want the Cabal to help tracking down the Nephandus Lisa, the woman have been seen when she tried to recruit a young Orphan who live at Chantry Riverside. Jeffry also had quite the argument with Amadeus about Beatrice's safety, a argument the Hermetic sort of won.

In the meanwhile Jeffry have sent Beatrice to ward the Chantry's windows, they are already warded but the panicked mage needed something to do, that would not give her Paradox and that reminded her that she was still a mage. Bruce and Richard are on their way out of Jeffry's office.

Bianca have just arrived in Boston and Ryan have sent his apprentice Rose to meet her, the two girls have stopped for lunch at a local restaurant and are having a nice chat together. Tane have just arrived at Steelhaven, have talked with Narim, another of the Chantry's Deacons and been given a sort of membership on the Chantry as long as he spend one year as a Sentinel and ten hours a week teaching Spirit to the Apprentices and Initiates of the Chantry. Tane have a node and have secured help in protecting it in exchange for a cut of the tass the Node produces. Tane is hunting a formori who might be in league with Boston's Nephandi. Tane have gone to Jeffry's office to talk about how he might be of help in tracking down the Nephandi.

Jon is still in his room and have not been seen since the Cabal returned from the villa, he have printed out some information from the Nephandus' phone though that have been given to Jeffry.

(OOC:Ok everyone who have been with the game from the start get 3 exp.
Jon get 2 since he have been absent allot.
Bianca and Tane get 1 since they have just started playing.

Great job everyone, I think the game is coming along nicely and I at least is having allot of fun. Now onward to IC thread 2.)

(OOC: I think it vary between editions, or I could be remembering it wrong, I will check it out, I do not have all the mechanics memorized as in my gaming group we do not use stats allot, or it could be that 7 was in second edition which is the one I use the most, I am pretty sure it was 5 times current rating for the specialty Sphere and 7 times for all the others in second edition, I will check the M20 book for this later.)
