Colin grinned at Daisy, "Arthur C. Clarke's Law and its corollary... Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, and any sufficiently analyzed magic is indistinguishable from technology..."
He smiled and nodded, "We do our best to make Steelhaven a good home for us all..."
He arched an eyebrow at Daisy's very lightly skimmed explanation of the nanobots, "Nanobots are pretty much the mechanical equivalent of single-celled organisms, are they not?"
He frowned, "Good thinking, Adjan - initially, we considered a station wagon for cargo space, but with a party of this size" - he glanced apologetically at Daisy for an instant - "we would want something a little more spacious and sturdy."
He pondered for a moment, then fished out his Correspondence monocle and mumbled a quick "Spectate perparvulus" before looking down around the boots.

((OOC: So, just a quick Correspondence 1 trick to essentially zoom in on the nanobots, to see if he sees anything. Arete roll comes to 6,8,9... With the extra difficulty for Colin's bruise, that's two successes, I think? Is that enough to see the little darlings? ))

"What about the Chef's green van, that would give us plenty of room for both our group going in and to transport the vampire back safely." Adjan suggested and he avoided looking at Daisy when he talked about room, there where no way the three of you plus Cara and Kristina would fit in one car, or at least it would be extremely tight. "We could ask it if we can borrow it again and fill the tank up again for her before we give it back as compensation." The Euthanatos continued.
He frowned, "Good thinking, Adjan - initially, we considered a station wagon for cargo space, but with a party of this size" - he glanced apologetically at Daisy for an instant - "we would want something a little more spacious and sturdy."

"Yes, if we're taking that many people, regardless, we should consider that transport, he agreed. "I can go check on that and who is coming with us, and meet down in the garage," he offered.

// Ah that's right, I stand corrected not all cyborgs are HITmarks, just like not all frogs are toads xD I figure though that the blinky light keeps hitting the 'warning' button in his brain a bit, at least subconsciously. Also are they talking about the same van they took to rescue Liv?

Colin grinned at Daisy, "Arthur C. Clarke's Law and its corollary... Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, and any sufficiently analyzed magic is indistinguishable from technology..."

"Yes indeed, and once magick and science where seen as one, they are all ways in which we might change the world around us, or understand it."
Daisy agreed and nodded.

He smiled and nodded, "We do our best to make Steelhaven a good home for us all..."

"That is good to hear..."

He arched an eyebrow at Daisy's very lightly skimmed explanation of the nanobots, "Nanobots are pretty much the mechanical equivalent of single-celled organisms, are they not?"

"Yes they are, and they can be programmed to perform a task, and due to their size they can rearrange molecules to repair or change things as I please."
The Deaconess agreed.

He frowned, "Good thinking, Adjan - initially, we considered a station wagon for cargo space, but with a party of this size" - he glanced apologetically at Daisy for an instant - "we would want something a little more spacious and sturdy."

Daisy lifted an lace covered hard to wave away your concern.
"I am aware I take up some space Mr Wainwright, taking a bigger vehicle is a good idea."
She said.
"And besides we are bringing someone back as well are we not?"

He pondered for a moment, then fished out his Correspondence monocle and mumbled a quick "Spectate perparvulus" before looking down around the boots.

You see a army of tiny little machines, each one of them are very simply constructed but yes they are there converting dust from the air into rubber at an impressive speed.
"Cute are they not Mr Wainwright?"
Daisy asked sounding proud.

"Yes, if we're taking that many people, regardless, we should consider that transport, he agreed. "I can go check on that and who is coming with us, and meet down in the garage," he offered.

"Very good and I will gather the rest of the supplies."
Adjan offered.
"Colin what if you go to the garage with the honored Deaconess and fill in whoever the Chief is sending, either that or the entrance hall where they will have to pass to get there."
He suggested.

(OOC: Oh yes those blinking eyes will hit Adley's warning buttons. Daisy however is a Hit-Mark though so double up there. I am not sure if they used that van then, Colin at least borrowed it when he went to Gary, I think they used it when they went to rescue Liv yes.)

Colin snorted, "Going by the apparent education level of the people running this country today, and the people who pop up in the media, science and magic might as well be the same thing still..."
He nodded, "Depending on the exact, hm, teleportation arrangement, the vampire might be delivered in our proverbial laps, or he may be moved somewhere slightly further away - I've informed our teleportation specialist of your presence, by the way, so the presence of Primium doesn't catch him by surprise. That could, after all, become slightly messy."
He grinned at the sight of the little nanites swarming around the boots, and handed the monocle to Adley, "They're kind of adorable. Remind me a little of this French cartoon series in the eighties, bugger if I remember what it was called, though. Adley, see if you can make them out with this... just try not to look people in the eye with it - that's rather creepy."
He looked up at the Deaconess, "I think perhaps the garage, then - the entrance hall may yet be a little more trafficked even at this hour."

((OOC: No, we didn't use the van to rescue Liv - that was the Deaconess Rose's car and one other - a KIA and a Toyota. The van was used for both the Nephandi retrieval runs, though - both to fetch Tian and Anna. And we remember how those turned out. Wink ))

Colin snorted, "Going by the apparent education level of the people running this country today, and the people who pop up in the media, science and magic might as well be the same thing still..."

"I respectfully disagree Mr Wainwright, looking at it like that is seeing magick as something that are not understandable and so science might be called magick by the uneducated crowds, however what I am talking about is pure knowledge, that we have tools to change reality and one branch of that is called science and the other is magick, but they are both on the same tree."
Daisy said softly.

"Good it would be unfortunate if the teleportation attempt would fail due to my presence."
Daisy said and nodded.
"I guess we are going to have to wait and see then what we do about the vampire after we have rescued him, however it might be practical to know beforehand so we can plan."

"I am not sure which cartoon you are referring to Mr Wainwright."
Daisy said.
"But yes they are slightly adorable if I may say so myself. Like most mages she was proud of her magick."
She added proudly.

He looked up at the Deaconess, "I think perhaps the garage, then - the entrance hall may yet be a little more trafficked even at this hour."

"The garage would be preferable."
The Deaconess said softly.
"I am not to found of very crowded areas."

(OOC: Yes I remember now, that is correct. Cars tend to slip my mind, they are squares with wheels that is about the extent of it for me. Razz )

"The prisoners you mean? Well only two of them are Nephandi, one are a traitor from the Traditions that well he did work with the Fallen though, and the other is a Marauder and then off course there is a widderslainte boy, though yes from what I am told Nephandi are not usually easy to catch alive...but I would not know Mr Miles I have only been Awakened for about a month."
Rosa said and smiled.
"There is allot I do not have a grip on yet in our society."

Adley debated arguing they had no time for it, but realised that would take the same amount of time as having a look and maybe the Deaconess would be less nervous around him if he saw her little friends. He wasn't even sure if the rote would work for him, he supposed it depended on how Colin worked his magick. He took a quick glimpse for the sake of argument, saying "I wonder what their spiritual selves look--that reminds me, wasn't the Chief going to see about finding you something for that? That might have been for later though."

"Very good and I will gather the rest of the supplies." Adjan offered. "Colin what if you go to the garage with the honored Deaconess and fill in whoever the Chief is sending, either that or the entrance hall where they will have to pass to get there." He suggested.

"Very well, then let's meet up there. A bit of apotropaic magick on that van might not go amiss," he commented. "I will see you all soon then, if you'll excuse me please," he said, giving a polite bow to the Deaconess and then his friends.

Colin grinned wryly, "I suppose I had that one coming. Whether using science or magic, we need to shine a light of knowledge on the masses. A pity there's so much resistance to it at times - it's tempting to let that light take the form of a laser beam or fireball every now and then. Not that I would, of course..."
He nodded, "Quite so... If the storm drain is reasonably dry and well suited for, er, unpinning the fellow, that would probably be for the best; allow him to move of his own volition. If not, though... In any case, we do essentially need eyes on the site before we decide. We can come up with a few options, of course - worst case, Master Harris delivers the fellow to the garage here to deal with him later."
He shook his head, "I don't recall the title, either. I think it was something with pirates and a sunken city... entire civilizations hidden under the Earth's surface? It was a bit odd."
He nodded to Adley, "The spiritual and mental defense gadgets would be for the strike on the Labyrinth. It's my understanding those preparations would take a little while in any case. Oh, damn, yes, I think I might have forgotten to mention a couple of things after... Martha Cunningham called..."
He grimaced and fished out his notebook, quickly scrawling down "Remember to let Master Harris see any rare stones we might use for teleport anchors before we leave. Also, Flamingo would like new roof." and handing Adley the page, "If you would give Joakim this; he'll understand."
He arched an eyebrow at Adley, "Apotro... You know, some of the things you say sound completely Greek to me at times..."
He gave Daisy a smile and extended his arm again, "Very well, then, let's finish these boots and head downstairs, shall we?"

((OOC: I don't think Adley should have much issue with looking through the monocle, so long as he looks through it the right way; Colin makes a circular "lens" inside the glass lens, to see through and essentially filter the information he wants, whether it's to look at distorted space, raw magic, the energy flow through an area or the chemical composition of a steel pipe. And since Adley does have a bit of Correspondence himself, it shouldn't be too disorienting for him, either. Wink Still hoping no Sleeper gets their hand on Colin's monocles while the rotes are up and running, though... Razz ))

Colin and Adley:

Adley debated arguing they had no time for it, but realised that would take the same amount of time as having a look and maybe the Deaconess would be less nervous around him if he saw her little friends. He wasn't even sure if the rote would work for him, he supposed it depended on how Colin worked his magick. He took a quick glimpse for the sake of argument, saying "I wonder what their spiritual selves look--that reminds me, wasn't the Chief going to see about finding you something for that? That might have been for later though."

You do see the tiny little machines using Colin's magick, see them converting dust into rubber and then shaping the boots, in many ways they are similar to little Gafflings, small, simple and singular of purpose. Daisy glanced at you as you looked at her machines as if nervous what you would think about her technomagick.

"Very well, I'll go check in with the Chief and see who is coming with us." He also had to return his car keys if they weren't using his car, so it worked out. "Anything else you'd like me to pass on?"

"I do not think I have hae much to add to the Chief at the moment, so just figuring out what transportation to use and who is coming with us should pretty much do it I think."
Adjan said and shook his head.

"Very well, then let's meet up there. A bit of apotropaic magick on that van might not go amiss," he commented. "I will see you all soon then, if you'll excuse me please," he said, giving a polite bow to the Deaconess and then his friends.

"I will see to wards on the car when we get word on which one to use, Colin have taught me his general scrambling rote in addition a few more esoteric wards probably will not go amiss as you say."
Adjan said he nodded to you as you left and Daisy inclined her head.

"The problem is that many seam to value their ignorance, they put it on a pedestal and worship it and there can be nothing more destructive than willful ignorance, no matter what you call your chosen discipline of knowledge it can only get so far unless someone want to learn...and yes sometimes light in the form of a laser is tempting."
The Deaconess said and chuckled.

"If this vampire have been kept staked and have been abused then he will be rather dangerous to as you say unpin Mr Wainwright, however if that is what we wish to do then I should stand a fair chance of keeping him under control, his powers work no better on me than yours do."
Daisy said.
"And yes letting him move of his own volition would be the humane thing to do."

He shook his head, "I don't recall the title, either. I think it was something with pirates and a sunken city... entire civilizations hidden under the Earth's surface? It was a bit odd."

"I am sorry I do not remember that one I must have missed it."
Daisy said apologetically.

Martha Cunningham called..."

Adley raised and questioning eyebrow to this clearly wondering what you had to tell the Chief about it and what had happened but he did not ask.

He gave Daisy a smile and extended his arm again, "Very well, then, let's finish these boots and head downstairs, shall we?"

Daisy nodded, she waited a few moments until the nanobots where done making four pairs of boots then she let them into the sleeve of her lace robes again and picked the boots up and showed them under one arm before taking Colin's offered arm.
"Yes let us do that Mr Wainwright."

Tane:

Alessa lead the way to her car, a black Mercedes and gets into the driver's seat, one thing was for sure that car would attract attention in a poor trailer park neighborhood, attention you might not want.
"You never told me what the deal is with that sword of yours Tane it looks old, very old and I get this strange feeling from it."
She asked as she got ready to drive out of the dock area.

Daisy glanced at you as you looked at her machines as if nervous what you would think about her technomagick.

He looked at the tiny machines briefly, curious despite himself but still cognizant of time-issues. Then he handed back the monocle to Colin. He nodded at Daisy. "Fascinating, they remind me of very small spirits, going about their given tasks. They are very efficient."

He nodded, "Quite so... If the storm drain is reasonably dry and well suited for, er, unpinning the fellow, that would probably be for the best; allow him to move of his own volition. If not, though... In any case, we do essentially need eyes on the site before we decide. Daisy said. "And yes letting him move of his own volition would be the humane thing to do."

"I think we agreed having a pissed off vampire with a grudge running about loose should be avoided, if we can help it," he replied. "Plus if we need to take him somewhere safe, keeping him...in state may be better than having to do it all over again. I agree he could be quite dangerous, he is very old and has been force fed, he may not even be in his right senses." The thought made him frown.

He nodded to Adley, "The spiritual and mental defense gadgets would be for the strike on the Labyrinth. It's my understanding those preparations would take a little while in any case. Oh, damn, yes, I think I might have forgotten to mention a couple of things after... Martha Cunningham called..."

"Excuse me, but did you say...?" He frowned then made a gesture with a hand like erasing a chalkboard. "It seems you'll have to fill me in later."

He grimaced and fished out his notebook, quickly scrawling down "Remember to let Master Harris see any rare stones we might use for teleport anchors before we leave. Also, Flamingo would like new roof." and handing Adley the page, "If you would give Joakim this; he'll understand."

"Very well, I'll do that," he agreed, taking the paper. "I thought someone else was dealing with the anchors, but no matter, I'll take care of it." He wasn't sure if he'd forgotten, simply or not but it didn't matter. It would be taken care of and soon, so they could go."

He arched an eyebrow at Adley, "Apotro... You know, some of the things you say sound completely Greek to me at times..."
He gave Daisy a smile and extended his arm again, "Very well, then, let's finish these boots and head downstairs, shall we?"

He laughed at bit and nodded at Colin. "That, my friend, is because it is Greek. From the goddess Atropos, one of the Moirai...the derivative word meaning to turn away bad luck or fate. Goodness knows we could use a little of that, though it falls out of my purview save for the etymology. So I shall leave you to it," he said and then said his goodbyes before hurrying back to the Chief's office for the last minute arrangements and to deliver Colin's message.

"Thank you Mr Roth Hicks, yes they are efficient."
Daisy said proudly and perhaps your compliment to her nanobots had warmed her a bit towards you though she still seamed nervous, which was strange to see in such a large creature, but she was a little less standoffish.
"In many ways they are like little spirits, though these tiny machines are physical, at least from my perspective of things."
She added.

"I think we agreed having a pissed off vampire with a grudge running about loose should be avoided, if we can help it," he replied.

"Well I would certainly agree to this, but being as humane as possible is also something we should strive towards Mr Roth Hicks."
Daisy commented softly not sure if she should speak up.

"Plus if we need to take him somewhere safe, keeping him...in state may be better than having to do it all over again.

"You are probably right about that Mr Roth Hicks especially since this vampire we are rescuing are not likely to allow us to stake him again if we have to, so then it will be a struggle and the whole thing are likely to become rather brutal."

I agree he could be quite dangerous, he is very old and has been force fed, he may not even be in his right senses." The thought made him frown.

Adjan frowned at that and Daisy nodded.
"In that case keeping him under control, at least until he can be restrained by other means might be wise."
She admitted.
"We might not have another choice."

he said and then said his goodbyes before hurrying back to the Chief's office for the last minute arrangements and to deliver Colin's message.

You find the Chief on his way out of his office as you arrive, he stops when he see you and asks politely.
"Ah Mr Roth Hicks, what can I do for you?"

"I agree with you, though we might not have as much time as we'd like to see how he is faring in situ...there are other considerations but I would like to get him out of there as quickly and safely as we're able to do so."

"You are probably right about that Mr Roth Hicks especially since this vampire we are rescuing are not likely to allow us to stake him again if we have to, so then it will be a struggle and the whole thing are likely to become rather brutal."

"We might not. We'll have to play some of this by ear. But the main goal as I see it is to retrieve him from our enemies, whole and unharmed as possible and try to take him somewhere safer."

Colin gave Adjan a small smile, "Just be aware, I have no reason to assume my little scrambler has any effect on plain sight. It seems able to confuse anything relying on other methods than regular vision, but I haven't tested it on... Hm, you know, it would probably be an excellent opportunity to test that in the garage before we leave."
He sighed, "Well, on the bright side, if that tilt toward means the Union suddenly gets a mouthful of Paradox like we do, that would be hilarious... Can't really expect that, though..."
He nodded, "And assuming we're not unstaking the fellow, it might be vastly more practical to teleport him straight to the car - I for one am not particularly eager to haul the equivalent of a six-foot wooden statue in an unknown pose up a ladder in the dark in the middle of a night."
He smiled and pocketed the monocle again, "I know we're in a bit of a rush, but a quick look can't hurt... Besides, Videre credere est and all that..."
He nodded briskly, "Yes, someone else is getting the stones, but it'll be far simpler for Master Harris to pinpoint them if he's seen the composition and mass in advance, rather than just a quick and imprecise description."
He grinned, "Well, it's always good to learn a new word, at least. Clashes with my Latin incantations, perhaps, but what can one do?"
He smiled and gently led Daisy the shortest route to the garage, taking the time to listen for others' footsteps on the way.

((OOC: No worries about brevity. Hope you get past the headache. ))

He nodded, "And assuming we're not unstaking the fellow, it might be vastly more practical to teleport him straight to the car - I for one am not particularly eager to haul the equivalent of a six-foot wooden statue in an unknown pose up a ladder in the dark in the middle of a night."

"Quite. There are a few things more to discuss, I think we can do so in the car though."

He smiled and pocketed the monocle again, "I know we're in a bit of a rush, but a quick look can't hurt... Besides, Videre credere est and all that..."

He gave him a bit of a smile. "And all that indeed."

He nodded briskly, "Yes, someone else is getting the stones, but it'll be far simpler for Master Harris to pinpoint them if he's seen the composition and mass in advance, rather than just a quick and imprecise description."

"I see, I think I understand. Let's see what we can do then."

He grinned, "Well, it's always good to learn a new word, at least. Clashes with my Latin incantations, perhaps, but what can one do?"

"The Latin equivalent would be Morta of the Parcae. Remind me to teach you Greek. I much prefer arguing in Greek..." he teased.

You sure want to go in an expensive car to a low class neighbourhood? We'll be a beacon. He told her worriedly It's the sword of a spirit, my totem and ancestor, Atonga the Builder. HE gave it to me years ago.

Colin and Adley:

"Yes, they are very, very small but these are still their physical forms," he agreed.

"Indeed, though off course at some point the spiritual and the physical do merge into one, but yes it is their physical forms Mr Roth Hicks."
Daisy agreed.

"I agree with you, though we might not have as much time as we'd like to see how he is faring in situ...there are other considerations but I would like to get him out of there as quickly and safely as we're able to do so."

"I know, though I do not like the thought of keeping someone innocent in pain longer than absolutely possible, and as far as I know being staked really hurts a vampire allot or at least it scares them."
The Deaconess muttered.

"Not very likely, no."

Daisy nodded a bit at that.

"We might not. We'll have to play some of this by ear. But the main goal as I see it is to retrieve him from our enemies, whole and unharmed as possible and try to take him somewhere safer."

"Agreed, that is the main objective."
The cyborg said.

"Pardon me, sir. If I may have your ear just a moment?" He gestured back towards the room he was about to vacate.

Joakim nodded then headed back into the office and closed the door behind you he did not take the time to sit down in his chair though.
"Yes off course Mr Roth Hicks."
He said and glanced at you, waiting for you to start telling him what you had to say.

"I doubt the scrabbler would hide us from plain sight."
Adjan commented.
"However other rotes can be used for that and when it comes to general wards and defelcting bad intent and luck, that I should be able to do something about."

He sighed, "Well, on the bright side, if that tilt toward means the Union suddenly gets a mouthful of Paradox like we do, that would be hilarious... Can't really expect that, though..."

"It would be delightful Mr Wainwright but no, we can not really expect to get that lucky no."
Daisy said.
"And in the meantime the minds of the sleepers are rotting taking the masses further away from Awakening, though at the same time it is the small percentage that do think that seam to become mages at a much greater rate than earlier."

He nodded, "And assuming we're not unstaking the fellow, it might be vastly more practical to teleport him straight to the car - I for one am not particularly eager to haul the equivalent of a six-foot wooden statue in an unknown pose up a ladder in the dark in the middle of a night."

"Carrying him will not be an issue in itself Mr Wainwright, however I do not know how one of his kind will react to my touch."
The Deaconess said a bit hesitantly.
"But yes directly teleporting him to the car might be more practical."

He nodded briskly, "Yes, someone else is getting the stones, but it'll be far simpler for Master Harris to pinpoint them if he's seen the composition and mass in advance, rather than just a quick and imprecise description."

"We better get that done as soon as possible then, we need time to both get this man out of captivity and take the Labyrinth tonight, I do not mean to cause stress but time is not our friend right now."
Adjan said and frowned.

He smiled and gently led Daisy the shortest route to the garage, taking the time to listen for others' footsteps on the way.

You see the young girl who had been playing with Liv, Anita on her way back to her room, in her nightgown with a glass of milk she had probably been to the kitchen fetching, she gave you a smile but stayed well away from Daisy clearly afraid of her. The Deaconess gave a sad sigh. You see the tall bald man who had been one of Miss Jerkin's guards walk down one hallway, and two of the hedge wizards you had seen in the dining hall stood in the entrance area talking. Halfway down the stairs you see a cat, not Granite this time but a small, round and yellow striped one with a collar and a name tag that announced her name to be the incredibly creative Mrs Yellow. The cat looked at you and Daisy with bright amber eyes as you pass her. You get to the garage and see Cara Willis standing there waiting. The Criamon gave both you and Daisy a polite nod.
"Good evening Mr Wainwright, Deaconess Darnell."
She said in a soft, clear voice. Daisy looked a bit nervous but she returned to bow and greeting.
"Ehm...yes good evening Miss Willis."

"The Latin equivalent would be Morta of the Parcae. Remind me to teach you Greek. I much prefer arguing in Greek..." he teased.

"It is indeed a interesting language Mr Roth Hicks."
Daisy said softly in Greek, though with modern forms and pronunciations rather than older versions.

(OOC: Thank you both.)

Tane:

"No you are right, taking this car is not the best idea, it will attract attention but it is the only car I have and any rental service are likely to be closed at this time of night, so do you have a better idea Tane?"
Alessa said and glanced at the Dreamspeaker.
"A spirit sword? Well that would explain why I feel it there, very interesting. Well it is a beautiful blade."
The Ananasi said politely.

"I know, though I do not like the thought of keeping someone innocent in pain longer than absolutely possible, and as far as I know being staked really hurts a vampire allot or at least it scares them."

"No doubt. But what would be in store for him if we don't intervene is much, much worse. For all of us." He said with a shake of his head.

"Right, let's go finish up with preparations and get going," he agreed. No time for small chat, or anything extraneous, he reminded himself.

"Yes off course Mr Roth Hicks." He said and glanced at you, waiting for you to start telling him what you had to say.

"Last minute details before we're off," he said, ticking them off on his hand. "Is the van available and if so do you have the keys?" He described the one he meant. "I have here your keys to give back as well, for the apartment. Did Mrs Knox drop off any stones for us to use? I'm to to them to Master Harris for a check before we set off. Also Colin asked me to give you this. He said you would understand," he said, handing him the note. "And the Deaconess' chantry, Flamingo, requests a new roof." He added, "Ah, weaponry and a healer, I do believe were the last things to check, assuming Mrs Willis was contacted?"

"No doubt. But what would be in store for him if we don't intervene is much, much worse. For all of us." He said with a shake of his head.

"To that I agree Mr Roth Hicks, we have to get this vampire out of the hands of his captors and we have to keep some sort of control of him until we can release him safely."
Daisy agreed and nodded.
"Even if I do not wish to hurt him."

"Right, let's go finish up with preparations and get going," he agreed. No time for small chat, or anything extraneous, he reminded himself.

"Yes let us."
Adjan said and gave the Deaconess a bow and then a smile for his Chantrymates.
"Well then I should go and finish my own tasks, I will see you all in the garage in a few minutes."
He said before he left the small group of mages in the third floor hallway and went supply hunting.

"Last minute details before we're off," he said, ticking them off on his hand. "Is the van available and if so do you have the keys?"

"Yes I see."
Joakim nodded and listened to your messages then he nodded again.
"Yes Mirri left her keys with me in case her van was needed."
He said and went to his desk and retrieved the keys to the green van and tossed them over to Adley.
"If you get the chance would you fill up the tank before you give the car back so we do not leave Mirri with a empty tank?"

"I have here your keys to give back as well, for the apartment.

"Ah yes...thank you Mr Roth Hicks."
Joakim said and held out his hand to accept the keys back.
"Everything went well?"

Did Mrs Knox drop off any stones for us to use? I'm to to them to Master Harris for a check before we set off.

"Yes indeed she did, and I sent her to Master Harris to have the stones examined by him to find a few that will work well as markers so we get as much as possible done in as little as possible amount of time."

Also Colin asked me to give you this. He said you would understand," he said, handing him the note. "And the Deaconess' chantry, Flamingo, requests a new roof." He added,

"A new room...hum yes I should be able to arrange that, it is her payment for her Chantry's help and it is a rather modest one, if the Deacon Council do not agree, I will fix Flamingo's roof myself."
The Security Chief muttered as he read over Colin's note.

He added, "Ah, weaponry and a healer, I do believe were the last things to check, assuming Mrs Willis was contacted?"

"Mrs Knox have agreed to go with you, her knowledge of vampires might be useful as well and she is a good healer, a very good one. Miss Willis have agreed as well and is waiting in the garage, just please keep her as safe as possible, members of House Criamon are rare loosing her would be a tragedy."
Joakim said he sounded worried.
"As for weapons, if you would please come with me, I will show you what we have, but please do not be disappointed this is not a War Chantry there is a limit as to what weaponry we have."

Colin grinned at Adley, "Well, thank you so much for making me feel like a barbarian from the north... Perhaps I'll get to study more languages someday soon, though."
He sighed, "The masses grow dimmer and the bright sparks light up brighter... It's almost so one would think intellect and reason were a zero-sum game..."
He smiled, "It's not the weight that worries me the most - but if he's in some impractical pose, he might not fit through the manhole without... injury."
On the way down, he gave Anita a small wave and a smile, and bent down to give Mrs. Yellow a light scritch.
In response to Cara, he bowed slightly, "Good evening. Have you been waiting long?"

((OOC: And now I have the mental image of Joakim opening a secret wall cabinet and lending Adley a Noisy Cricket. Very Happy ))

Colin:

Colin grinned at Adley, "Well, thank you so much for making me feel like a barbarian from the north... Perhaps I'll get to study more languages someday soon, though."

"To your defense Mr Wainwright I did not study Greek myself I downloaded dictionaries and sentence structure information from Google when we started discussing the language."
Daisy admitted.
"It is an interesting language though, with a facinating history attached to it."

He sighed, "The masses grow dimmer and the bright sparks light up brighter... It's almost so one would think intellect and reason were a zero-sum game..."

"No I doubt that it is Mr Wainwright, rather it is a matter of a stupid, easy to lead Consensus being easier for the Technocracy to control, they want people to live safe, ignorant, productive lives where they run the rat race, have kids and only worry about the latest gossip about celebrities and whatever someone disagree with them on something on the internet that they can create some drama from. Once the Order of Reason wanted the masses to be empowered and enlightened, now the Technocratic Union want them to be herded like sheep and as such they support all distractions they can find that will keep people from really thinking."
The Cyborg said and shook her head.
"And sadly it is working, we are loosing this war to comfortable lives, TV and internet drama."

He smiled, "It's not the weight that worries me the most - but if he's in some impractical pose, he might not fit through the manhole without... injury."

"They are in rigor mortis are they not when they are staked? Vampires I mean? The Hollower sisters at my Chantry, I think you ran into them from what I was told, have said that is the case, I do not want to think about how they found out."
If Daisy could frown she probably would have from the sound of her metallic voice.
"We probably could force his arms and legs into a better position but not without causing him some discomfort I recon."

On the way down, he gave Anita a small wave and a smile, and bent down to give Mrs. Yellow a light scritch.

Anita smiles as you waves to her and she said.
"Good night Mr Wainwright."
As she passed you in the hallway. Mrs Yellow rubbed her head against your hand and immediately started purring when you petted her, she seamed quite trusting and loving and while she was not quite as pear shaped as Granite she to was well fed and her coat was think and shiny, she was clearly well loved and well fed.

In response to Cara, he bowed slightly, "Good evening. Have you been waiting long?"

Cara gave you a polite smile and shook her head.
"Only a few minutes Mr Wainwright."
She said.
"So how many of us will be going? I heard we where rescuing someone from the city's vampires."

Tane:

Maybe taking the bus or a cab? He said, shrugging

"Take the bus?"
Alessa said as if the thought had never occurred to her, she was well to do, as much could be seen from her fine clothes and her car and she had expensive tastes, public transportation was not one of them.
"I guess we could call a cab."
She muttered and fished her cell phone out of her purse.

It is. And it sure has a tune that's unike anything here. I don't know if there are a lot of swords like it.

"I am afraid I do not hear any tunes around it, but it is well made and seam to be a good blade and no, I doubt you will find many that are like it indeed."
The Ananasi said and nodded as she dialed a number on her phone and begun to order a cab.
"Yes I would like to order a cab...yes from the shellfish bar on the docks, yes...my name..."
Alessa flipped through several credit cards with fake names that she had in her purse.
"Josefina Perry, yes party of two...I am visiting an aunt outside of the city at Jerry's trailer park...hum...five minutes...yes that will be fine...goodbye."
Alessa hung up then she said.
"Let us walk over to the seafood place then, a cab will come and pick us up, I felt it best though not to spread my name to much around town, not at Alessa is registered anywhere official either, it is just a name I like, I do not have a given name as I was hatched a spiderling, me my ister and dozens of others..."
She muttered both angry and sad at her sister's betrayal.

It was almost comical to see her so troubled by the idea of going out in the bus, but he accepted to go on a taxi, wich was more quick.
I understand. In any case iis stupid that a cab asks you your name and such.
